Paraphernalia for Celebration

Welcome to Herb Majicks!

Welcome to ceremonial and ritual tools with integrity.  Since 1995, I have been making incenses, anointing oils, bath salts and other ceremonial paraphernalia for Wiccan practice from 100% natural materials.  This is my passion.  This is my craft.

Come, celebrate with me.

Majickal Aromasols.

I take enormous pride in my work, and hope that you'll find something in this catalog that you like. I also can create custom orders; email and let me know what you're looking for.

Please note that at this time I am only shipping to locations inside the US.  Wholesale inquiries should be directed to info@herbmajicks(dot)com.

This is pretty much a one-witch-show: I am R & D, gardener, wildcrafter, formulator, blender, QC, order desk, shipping department, and now web mistress.  My partner Cee, Goddess Bless her, is my bookeeper-arithromancer extrordinaire.  She very sweetly puts up with my peculiar obsessions and will just as sweetly give you a hand with your orders and questions if I am unavailable.

I look forward to working Majick with you.  Blessed Be!

The Circle is cast, the Fire is lit; let the ritual begin.

Thank you for supporting woman-owned small business!

Hecate at the Crossroads
The rain has come and the trees, touched with yellow, red and palest green dance slowly with the winds. Soon, their finery spent, they will let go: shedding all but those things essential to themselves.
Our harvest more nearly done, the jellies and jams tucked in the fruit house, jars and jars of tomatoes and pickles nestled beside them, await their turn at table.  The time has come to store away summer's clothing and toys, lovingly bringing forth our favorite sweaters and check our stock of tea.

We are called to remembrance in the half light of rainy days...voices of loved ones lost echo in our hearts, tumbled with memories of hot sunshine and high blue skies.  As we spin into the Dark, the veil between the worlds, already gossamer, parts and calls us to grief and joy, esteem and gratitude; a dance of mystery and healing.

Samhain, Hallowmas, All Hallow's Eve or Hallowe'en has long been the celebration of the living in honor of the dead and the Death aspect of the Great Goddess.  She is known in every culture by many names: Hecate, Cerridwen, Kali Ma, Baba Yaga, Hathor, Selket, and Coatilique are but a few.  As the Crone, she is the Wise Healer, Keeper of the Mysteries, the compassionate and terrible door through Death, the Reaper and Gatherer of souls which feed Shakti Fire of Life.
Hecate can aid us now with our divination, dream journeys, banishments and protection, as well as communion with our beloved dead.  She calls upon our passion and deep emotion for fuel the Wheel.  The deeper we can go with Her, the stronger Life's force spins.

For a celebration of Hecate's night, the so called Witches New Year--the Celts regarded this night as the beginning of the new year out of respect for the tranformative power of going into the dark-time--black (finally!) and orange are appropriate colors to wear and for altar decor.  When you build your altar, include images of your beloved dead, and any tools you wish to recharge such as tarot cards, runes, stones, gazing crystals, etc.  Majickal foods include vegetable and meat loaves (with suprize gifts baked inside!), vegetable pies with sour cream, pasties, seed cakes and hearty "peasant" breads.  Apple pie, mulled cider, mead and honeyed buttermilk round out the feast.

A wonderful chant I have used in the past for Samhain trancing:

In the darksome cave of sleep
Flowing, floating down and deep
O, Wise One, I move through Thee
Thy imagery will ever wend
Dreaming to the dreamer send
Surrender, I now to Thee!*

Samhain Incense on sale: 15% off on both sizes.  Offer good until 12 midnight Pacific Time, Sunday November 1st, 2009.

Blessed Be!
~Rae

*If you know the proper attribution for this chant, please let me know.  It has become lost to me.  Thank you!
