I take enormous pride in my work, and hope that you'll find something in this catalog that you like. I also can create custom orders; email and let me know what you're looking for.

Please note that at this time I am only shipping to locations inside the US.  Wholesale inquiries should be directed to info@herbmajicks(dot)com.

This is pretty much a one-witch-show: I am R & D, gardener, wildcrafter, formulator, blender, QC, order desk, shipping department, and now web mistress.  My partner Cee, Goddess Bless her, is my bookeeper-arithromancer extrordinaire.  She very sweetly puts up with my peculiar obsessions and will just as sweetly give you a hand with your orders and questions if I am unavailable.

I look forward to working Majick with you.  Blessed Be!

The Circle is cast, the Fire is lit; let the ritual begin.

Thank you for supporting woman-owned small business!

Imbolc--Birth of the Maiden

Though the calendar shows a week of January yet remains for our enjoyment, every day this past week I have heard impassioned expressions of longing for warmth and sunshine:

“Isn’t Spring here yet?”

This is the kind of talk we usually start hearing around mid-February.   And without doubt, we’ve been having an especially wet and somewhat cold winter here in western Washington.  Others around the country have had it worse; still have much worse to come.

True, Winter Solstice is past.  True, the days are lengthening.  True, also, we could get out there and prune the fruit trees.   The roses wouldn’t mind it either.  Give them some fish while we’re about it.

But really, Winter is not done with us yet.  She has work to do.   And we know it.

Like a child who wants to skip homework and get right to the cookies, we want the fun stuff NOW.  We want to stay up late, hang with the big kids, want the keys so we can drive.  We want to skip over all the messy, boring, difficult, and truth be told—scary bits—so we can get to the shiny, look-at-me-I’m-all-grown-up good times up ahead.

She’s not done with us yet.

See, that strange and marvelous transformation the land undergoes every year without fail, that revival from collapse to vigor, that reincarnation from Death to Re-Birth, that regeneration from Crone to Maiden?   It is a step in the Dance.  We cannot avoid this step.   It takes time.  It takes surrender, and it takes will.

Some things in life cannot be rushed, brothers and sisters.

This year, spend some time outside on the 1st and 2nd of February.  Get away from downtown, from city streets and the highway.  Your local park could be a good option.  Look for a place with forest, with waterways, if you can, and a possibility of wildlife.

BE there.  Breathe.  Look around and really see how renewal is gathering its strength, preparing to burst forth.  It will be evidence, I promise.  Leaf buds will be swelling; new green shoots will be pushing up from the earth.   If you are in the right place, you might even see crocus or snowdrop blooms.  Be quiet so you can sense the surge of energy around you.  It is deep, unhurried, inexorable.

O Lady
the hem of whose garment
is the sky, whose grace
falls from her glance, who gives
life from the touch of one finger
O Lady
whose hair is the willow, whose breath
is the riversong, who lopes
thru the milky way, baying, stars
going out, O
Lady whose deathshead holds a thousand eyes
eye sockets black imploded stars, who trails
frail as a northern virgin on the mist, O
Lady fling your bright drops to us, emblems of your love, throw
your green scarf on the battered earth once more
O smile, disrobe for us, unveil
your eyes
